What is the Mean Machines?
The Mean Machines (M2) will serve the automobile and performance motorsports industry in the Northern Region. It is the only event that fully focused on these industries and will aim to be the platform for the industry players to gather and see new technologies and accessories all in one-location.

Who attends Mean Machines?
The Mean Machines (M2) will attract enthusiasts especially from Penang and the Northern Region. We are expecting to have a visitorship exceeding 60,000. Invitations are also sent out nationally and internationally to get their cars as showcars and also to compete in the various competitions. Thus exhibitors will get to meet not only locals but people from all over Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Where is the Mean Machines organized?
The Mean Machines (M2) is held at the Highway Autocity, Juru, Penang, Malaysia. Highway Autocity is easily accessible from the Juru Interchange on the North-South Highway and is the only community dedicated to the automotive and food and beverage industries. The Highway Autocity is just 5 minutes from the Penang Bridge and less than 15 minutes from Butterworth or Bukit Mertajam

The Mean Machines 2008 is held from October 25 and 26, 2008.

The Mean Machines is opened FREE to the general public to attract maximum audience.

How do I register for this event?
Since this is a FREE to public event, there is no registration needed. However, interested parties can register themselves at our Secretariat so that they can be kept inform on our upcoming events – including the Mean Machines 2009.

Can I bring my children for the event?
The Mean Machines (M2) is a family event and we encourage families to come as one to enjoy this passion of performance motorsport and car modification.

What are the opening hours for the Mean Machines?
The event will open daily from 11 am to midnight daily.

What can I expect by visiting the Mean Machines?
Visitors can expect to see the latest range of accessories and parts for the performance motorsports industries. You can also witness the meanest modified cars, drifting performances, antique cars, exotic sports cars, American muscle cars, creative airbrushed scooters, high-powered in-car-entertainment (ICE) and the latest automobiles on display. You can also network among yourselves to share success stories and your latest adventures. Most exhibitors will also offer special “Mean Machines”-only prices on their accessories, parts and services, thus you might be able to get some savings on you purchase orders done on site. Local dealers can also expect to find some possible business partnership with exhibitors that are looking for local representation.

Currently, there will be the Modified Car Competition, In Car Entertainment (ICE) Competition, Airbrushed Scooter Competition, Drifting Demonstration, and the M2 Beauty Queen Search. What is the cost of participation at the Mean Machines?
We have various options of canopy size at the Mean Machines (M2). Canopy sizes range from 12’ x 20’ at RM 2,500; 20’x 20’ at RM 3,500 to 20’ x 40’ at RM 6,500 while the 40’ x 40’ is at RM 12,500. Each of the canopies will come complete with fluorescent lighting, ceiling fan, one table, two chairs and one powerpoint. Other equipments such as carpeted platforms, air-coolers and spotlights are available for rental from our Official Contractor.

What can I expect to gain by participating at the Mean Machines?
We understand that meeting the right people can be very time-consuming, costly and sometimes impossible. However, by participating in Mean Machines (M2), these individuals come to meet you, so that you can conduct permissive face-to-face marketing (or selling), obtain database or just to network with them. You will also have the opportunity to show them how your parts or technology works and how it can benefit them. All these can be done at a very much lower cost compared to just on print publications and frequent visits to the region.

The Mean Machines is a comprehensive automobile-related exhibition. It covers various interest-specific components from new cars, to performance motorsports, cars accessories, competitions, drifting demonstration, beauty queen search and even motorcycles and scooters.

Do you have any Official Publications and Magazines for the Mean Machines?
Yes, Hypertune, SHIFT, On The Road and Get@Car are our Official Publications. We also have www.zerotohundred.com and www.autopowermart.com as our Official Online Media.

Is there other advertising avenue during the show?
There are various advertising opportunities during the show. We have various standard show sponsorship packages available while companies with specific target can work with our project team to customize a package that will further enhance their image and association to the industries during the event. We also have various competitions that can be sponsored.

What about online advertising avenue?

Are there any pre-show promotional activities that exhibitors can participate in?
We will send out at least one e-pre-show previews to our database of over 20,000. There will be limited advertisement space in each of these e-pre-show previews that exhibitors can ride on. We can also do customized on-request e-mailers for individual exhibitors at minimal fee.

Is there any government support to the Mean Machines 2008?
The Mean Machines 2008 is supported by the Penang State Government and Tourism Penang.

Will there be a chance for me to network with my peers?
